Platform update: what's new on Dev Skill
Course coupons, certificate verification, and a faster course player — a quick tour of everything we shipped recently and what comes next.
Small ships, often. That is how the team works, and the last two months brought a few changes worth knowing about whether you learn here or teach here. Nothing in this update changes prices of existing courses or anything you already own.
What shipped
First, course coupons went live for all instructors. Instructors can now create share codes for their own courses with a fixed amount or a percentage off, and every coupon shows up clearly at checkout before you pay — the price you see with the coupon applied is the price you pay.
Second, certificate verification opened to the public. Every certificate earned on Dev Skill now carries a verification link an employer can open in seconds — no account needed. If you earned a certificate before this change, your certificate has a link too; it works retroactively.
Third, the course player got leaner. Lesson switching is faster, the curriculum sidebar remembers where you were, and the player now works comfortably on slower connections.
What is next
The next releases focus on learning streaks, better search inside the catalog, and Bangla-first course tooling for instructors. As always: features appear when they are ready, not before — we would rather ship quietly and correctly.
Something you wish existed on Dev Skill? The course catalog and the teaching program are both open — and so is our inbox.
