Terms & Conditions
The rules for using Dev Skill: accounts, purchases, course access, refunds, and what we expect from each other.
1. Who these terms cover
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Dev Skill (the “Platform”), including browsing the catalog, creating an account, buying courses, and watching course content. By creating an account or making a purchase you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform.
Some activities have their own terms that apply alongside these: buying and refunds are covered in detail by our Refund Policy, teaching by our Instructor Agreement, and referrals by our Affiliate Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
2. Your account
You need an account to buy courses, track progress, and earn certificates. You agree to give accurate information when you register, to keep your password and sign-in credentials confidential, and to be responsible for activity that happens under your account.
One person, one account — do not share your account with others. The Platform limits how many devices may hold active sign-in sessions on one account, and may require multi-factor authentication for privileged roles. If you think someone else has accessed your account, contact support immediately.
3. Buying and paying for courses
Course prices are shown on each course page in Bangladeshi Taka (৳) and include applicable Value Added Tax. Coupons may reduce the price you pay, and Credit Wallet balance from refunds or rewards may be applied at checkout.
Payments are processed by our payment-service provider. We do not store your card details. If payment fails or you abandon checkout, the order simply expires — an unpaid order is never charged later and does not enroll you in anything.
When payment succeeds, your enrollment activates automatically and you receive an order confirmation email. Your order history is always available in your dashboard.
4. Access to course content
A paid enrollment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access that course's content through your own account. It is not a transfer of ownership, and you may not share, resell, or redistribute course material.
Course videos are protected by digital rights management. You may not attempt to download, record, copy, or circumvent the protection on streamed content except where the Platform explicitly offers a download. Playing back more than one course stream at the same time on one account is not permitted — the Platform enforces a single active playback session per account.
If a course you paid for is refunded in full, access to that course ends and any certificate issued for it is invalidated, as described in the Refund Policy.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: you may request a refund within 72 hours of payment while your completion of the course is at or below 30%, requests are reviewed by the Platform, and approved refunds are paid to your Credit Wallet. Read the Refund Policy for the full rules, including what reviewers consider and the special cases.
6. Teaching on the Platform
If you apply to teach and are approved, you publish courses under the Instructor Agreement, which covers publishing, your revenue share, earnings, and withdrawals. Where these terms and the Instructor Agreement differ for instructor activity, the Instructor Agreement applies.
7. The affiliate program
If you take part in the affiliate program, the Affiliate Terms govern your referral links, attribution, commissions, and payouts. Commissions never change what the buyer pays.
8. Reviews and other content you post
You may write reviews of courses you have completed. You grant the Platform permission to display the reviews you submit, together with your display name, on the Platform. We moderate reviews: we may decline to publish, hide, or restore them, and we do not allow abusive, unlawful, misleading, or promotional content. Reviews must reflect your own honest experience.
9. Prohibited conduct
When using the Platform you must not:
- break any applicable law or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights
- share account credentials, resell enrollments, or transfer your account to anyone else
- circumvent video protection, scrape the Platform, or access it through automated means without our consent
- interfere with other users or with the Platform's operation, or probe or test its security without permission
- misrepresent your identity or your relationship with the Platform
- abuse the refund system, for example through repeated purchase-consume-refund cycles
- submit reviews or other content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, or spam
We may take action against accounts that violate these rules, as described in section 10.
10. Suspensions and account closure
We may limit, suspend, or close accounts that violate these terms, that create risk for other users or the Platform, or as required by law — including temporary security holds while something is reviewed. Where practicable we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
You may stop using the Platform at any time, and you may request deletion of your account from your settings. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is deleted and what we must keep — for example, records of orders, payments, and refunds are retained for legal and accounting reasons.
11. Intellectual property
The Platform itself — its name, design, software, and marketing content — belongs to Dev Skill. Course content belongs to the instructors or other rights holders who publish it, as agreed in the Instructor Agreement. You get no rights in any of it beyond the personal access described in section 4, and you may not use Platform or course material commercially without written permission.
12. Warranties and liability
We work hard to keep the Platform available and accurate, but we provide the service “as is”. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and course content is the responsibility of its instructors — verify important facts independently.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform's total liability to you arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. Revisions are published as new numbered versions with their effective dates, and the current and past versions are always listed on this page. Material changes are announced on the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after a revision takes effect means you accept it.
14. Contact and governing law
Questions about these terms: support@devskill.example. These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
